I can’t say enough about one of my very best friends Sarah Hereim and her husband Kent. I love when I can get away to the mountains, unplug and get some girl/horsie time with a few roasted marshmallows to boot. Sarah and Kent are the owners of Horses and Courage Guest Ranch. Please go check out their extensive website https://horsesncourage.com detailing what an amazing camp they have set up for guests to come from all over the world on their family ranch in Lennep, Montana.
I was thinking our friendship sure has it perks, when Sarah invited me to come hang out with her at her "all ladies" retreat. Of course I would bring my camera because I can’t resist taking way too many pics of women and their horses! Sarah and I were able to find some time to sit down and discuss some things about where we want to see our business’s head in the years to come. We both agreed that bringing a little more light and healing was number one on our list. Sounds cliché, and I’m sure the label you put on it will change over the years but the intention is the same. Give back and bring good to the planet. Recently her daughter Nikki had been diagnosed with ADHD. In the journey of helping Nikki adjust they started brainstorming how they could incorporate the information they had been discovering into what their guest ranch offers. Sarah created ADDventures for teenage girls and looks forward to creating a few different retreats in camp for 2019. Another idea that was born the very day I was there is a retreat for health care workers. Her intention is to give women in the health care field a place to unplug, relax and create camaraderie with others in their field.
I always get so inspired when I can sit down with a very dear friend and feel like we are on the same page with our intentions. We need our friends to keep us motivated and on track with our goals. And our goals are similar in that we both want to really create a space where women can find the real beauty and inspiration within them selves. Looking forward to more conversations like this in the future!
